GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
On May 25, 2018 the European Parliament and Council (UE) Regulation 2016/679 of April 27, 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and on the repeal of Directive 95/46/EC (popularly known as GDPR) becomes applicable. GDPR will apply to the same extent in all countries of the European Union, so also in Poland and this introduces a number of changes in the rules governing the processing of personal data, that will affect many areas of life, including the use of internet services, such as, among others, POLMEN services. In this information, we present an abbreviation of the most important issues regarding the processing of your personal data, which may take place after May 25, 2018 in connection with the use of our services. What is the personal data?
According to GDPR, personal data is information about an identified or identifiable individual. In the case of using our services, such data is for example and e-mail address, an IP address or your data in the account of our websites. Personal data can be saved in cookies or similar technologies (eg. local storage), which are installed by us or our Trusted Partners on our websites and devices that you use while using our services.

Who can be provided with personal data?
According to applicable law, your data may be transferred to entities that process it on our behalf, eg. to subcontractors of our services or to entities entitled to obtain data on the basis of applicable law, eg. to courts or to law enforcement agencies – of course, only when they make a request based on an appropriate legal basis.
Is the provision of data required?
The provision of personal data is not required, but failure to provide certain data, which are marked as necessary to provide services to you, will make them impossible to provide.
What are your rights related to the processing of personal data?
With regard to the processing of your personal data by our company, you have the following rights:
the right to access your data, including the right to obtain a copy of the data,
the right to request data rectification,
the right to delete data (in certain situations),
the right to lodge a complaint to the supervisor, who handles the protection of personal data,
the right to limit data processing.
If your data is processed on the basis of agreement, you can additionally use the following rights:
the right to permission cancellation so far as the data is processed on its basis. The permission cancellation does not affect the lawfulness of processing, which was made on the basis of permission, before its cancellation.
If your data is processed on basis of the permission or as part of the service provided (the data necessary to provide the service), you can additionally use the following rights:
the right to transfer personal data, which means to receive from the administrator your personal data, in a structured, commonly used format that is machine-readable. You can send this data to the another data administrator.

What are „cookies”?
Cookie files are are small pieces of data, stored in text files, which can be sent by Web server and they are stored on user’s computer (on the computer’s hard drive, the place of the storage is set by web browser). Their purpose is to recognize the device, what makes them able to provide functionality like shopping cart or logging in. Cookie files do not cause any damage to devices on which they are saved.
Cookie files are used on this website for the following purposes:
keeping the user’s session on the website after logging in, so there is no need to enter the login and the password on each subwebsite, which is visited by user. The cookie files, which are used for this purpose, are stored only until the end of the browser current session. They are automatically deleted after closing the browser.
enabling the functioning od the shopping cart mechanism, which remembers the items added to it, without having to add them again each time the user moves to the another subpage. Cookie files, which are used for this purpose, may be stored longer than user’s browser current session, to remember and restore the items that has been added to the shopping cart, in case of closing the browser.
collection of general, anonymous statistics of user behavior on the website, to improve the content and the functionality of the website.
Cookies deleting:
The browsers accepting cookies by default. This setting may be changed manually at any time. In this way cookies can be blocked. Turning off the cookies might impact the proper functioning of the website. In particular, the user will not be able to log in, to use the shopping cart in the internet shop.
Data collection permission
I agree to the processing of my personal data collected as part of my use of services including websites and other functionalities of POLMEN, including those saved in cookie files for marketing purposes (including analyzing and customizing for marketing purposes) by POLMEN and Trusted Partners. Giving permission is voluntary and it can be cancelled at any time using the tool available here, but permission cancellation does not affect the lawfulness of processing, which was made on the basis of permission, before its cancellation.
